Painting on object ceramics

I create ceramic sculptures that can be touched with the eyes and hands, that always show new aspects, set signs, are labeled. On repeated viewing, seemingly informal drawings become memories of familiar forms without being permanent, in constant change. Whether clear, taut forms, volumes in motion or randomly layered clay remnants/offcuts, I create both body sculpture and surface for my painting and drawing - like white sheets of paper. It is a fusion and symbiosis of object and painting. The result is multi-layered, irregular color surfaces and fields of very different perspectives. Restless small parts contrast with large, calm color fields, always in light-dark gradients and often in cold, warm and complementary contrasts. Linear structures are embedded in the change of color fields and lead the viewer across three-dimensional images.
